My sister meanwhile is clearly trying to do the opposite of alleviating my pain. I tell her I’m back to normal as long as I’ve got my percocet to pop and nobody makes me laugh. Yet she continues to call me up in order to regale me with stories of her last semester of college. Like how her friend dropped out of school because she fell in love with a mime and ran away to join the circus. (We spent the rest of the night watching him on youtube. Mimes totally scare me the F out.)
Then again, on percocet, most things make me laugh. I had to fight back a fit of giggles this afternoon when we started discussing our strategies for working during busy season when it starts to snow (clearly only wishful thinking on everyone’s part). My boss just kept saying over and over again, “Winter is coming.”
I couldn’t stop laughing when I relayed the story at home later. (To eye rolls.)
Or over the phone to my sister. (To confusion, pretty sure she’s never even heard of Game of Thrones.)
And I’m dying of laughter now.
I perhaps should start easing up on my happy drugs.
